*sighs* maybe it's because I dont remember being taught evolution at all in school. I think they should provide information on all "theory's" so to speak just to make the children/students more able to think for themselves as to what they chose to believe. I"m sorry if I seem to be arguing alot it's a touchy subject for me. |

From my experiences (I took high school biology last year), a good teacher does not just tell you "evolution is this, this, and this... believe me or else". Any teacher who does do that is incompetent and deserves to be fired immediately. When we had our evolution unit, we actually mainly focused on the scientific discoveries and evidence supporting evolution. |

I agree with glitch's last coment, the only problem is in some schools, it is not explicitly stated that evolution is still just a theory, and even in some cases it is taught as fact. |

If your only concern with evolution is that it's not being taught correctly then what is the purpose of presenting intelligent design in a science class? It does not solve the problem at all, and only creates more unnecessary controversy. If you really want evolution to be taught properly then start an initiative to crack down on bad biology teachers. |

Intelligent design is not science. It should NOT be taught in science class.. Maybe the Bible or other ancient writings could be taught in History class, or a religious class.. But as far as science goes, no way. Intelligent design has no scientific data to back it up, nor do we have fossils, genetic evidence, or anything really to say they're science. To teach ID in science class is wrong.. Its your duty to teach your kids what you want them to know, if you don't approve of what the schools say, then take them out. You can teach them whatever you want then. |

Yes they do have scientific data to back up many things that can proove intellegent design is valid. |
