What the code does: It adds a simple announcement box for all pages of your forum.
Where to put it: I recommend you put it above the board.
Preview: Linked below the topic

Code: HTML

<table class="cat_head"><tr><td><h2 style="text-align:center;">
Announcement
</h2></td></tr></table>
<table><tr><th style="text-align:center;font-weight:600">
TITLE
</th></tr><tr><td border="0" width="500px" style="text-align:center;">
ANNOUNCEMENT
</td></tr></table>

How to edit: Change the TITLE to whatever you want your announcement title to be. Change the ANNOUNCEMENT to anything.
Comments: I ain't gonna gloat, its really basic HTML. If your looking for enhanced versions I'd look else where. Also this doesn't work with Reids form script for some reason.

I like this code. Is there a way to have a scrolling feature in this code as well?

Adjust the code as follows:
Code:

<table class="cat_head"><tr><td><h2 style="text-align:center;">
Announcement
</h2></td></tr></table>
<table><tr><th style="text-align:center;font-weight:600">
TITLE
</th></tr><tr><td border="0" width="500px" style="text-align:center; max-height:100px; overflow:auto;">
ANNOUNCEMENT
</td></tr></table>
You may adjust the 100px value for max-height to whatever you would like.

Like a marquee/ticker? Just put the following html around the content you want to be in the marquee:
Code:

<marquee>content goes here</marquee>

That should for just about anything like this, any news box, etc. where html is allowed since it is indeed just basic html coding. Enjoy. :)

Instead of having a title you can have a ticker

Code: HTML

<table class="cat_head"><tr><td><h2 style="text-align:center;">
Announcement
</h2></td></tr></table>
<table><tr><td><marquee>
TICKER INFO
</marquee></td></tr><tr><td border="0" width="500px" style="text-align:center;">
ANNOUNCEMENT
</td></tr></table>

Yes.

Also Smasher, your missing the `td` tag in the header of the table containing the marquee.

Fixed

Also I wouldn't recommend the `marquee` tag in the ANNOUNCEMENT. It'll look to messy.
Also after 2 days of trying to figure out why the flexible form script wouldn't work on my forums I have figured it out. This code isn't compatible with that for some reason. I have no idea why

How have you figured it out if you still have no idea why? It should have been obvious that the two codes weren't compatible. xD
