I believe this will require too many AJAX requests, and as such isn't possible at the moment.

There are notifications in Dynamo. Notifications can be received for multiple different things: Admin has approved your name request change, Admin has promoted you to another group (even works with automatic promotions). Dynamo allows you to use many new features such as facebook-esque like/dislike buttons for posts; and of course you receive notifications when someone likes your posts etc etc. Too many things to explain but take a look at that topic for more info :) . http://resources.zetaboards.com/topic/5153269/

Unless you're using the Dynamo system as mentioned above...

This request was deemed impractical by our code team. This could mean that the feature you have requested is impossible to write, requires PHP and/or hosting, or requires too many AJAX requests. If you have any questions about why this request is not practical, feel free to contact a member of the code team.
