I have a problem with the icons on my desktop (+others around my computer). They seem messed up, and weird.

I'm on a flatscreen monitor at 1280 x 1024 resolution. I think it might be because of the resolution change that came about when I got this monitor (in October). I've had this problem since then, but I finally decided to ask here cos I knew I'd get a professional answer.

Here's an example of a messed up icon:

Any help is appreciated, thanks. ;D

It goes like that for me when i boot up in safe mode.. but i don't think it's that situation for you. Hmm.

I found this though.. Dunno if it'll help..

Right-click on your normal desktop.
>- Click "Properties"
>- Click "Settings"
>- Click "Effects"
>- Make sure that "Display icons in all possible colors" is turned on.
>- Now, Select the OTHER monitor
