How or would I design skins?

Would they be designed on an image manager ex: Photoshop? :clown:

You would use photoshop or any graphics program to make like your .maintitle and titlemedium, dark row 2, userlinks, submenu, yes.

Yes, most people tend to make their gradients in photoshop. Some people even design the whole thing in PS and then tranfere all the colours over to CSS.

In order to skin, you'll need some sort of photo editting program, but you don't absolutely need it to skin. All you need to know for skinning is CSS, but to make really nice skin, PhotoShop (or another photo editting program), and HTML are involved, as well.

On your board go to,
Admin CP >> Manage Style Sheets.
It is from that location that you'll find the CSS, which is what you'll need to edit to change the skin.

Much of skinning is a learn as you go experience, but the following generalized links will be of help to you as you learn:


If after attempting to manually edit the CSS via the Manage Style Sheets pages you decide that it is too complicated, there are alternative methods you can take. The links below are to Skin Generators located on our website that you can make a skin with.
