Hi Everyone I just made a forum and I not too sure what I am doing :$ The forum is up and running now and it all seems fine. I gave a link to someone and they are now a member on my forum. However. I don't know when did they join and I did not get any notification that there is a member joining. Is this normal? Most forum I am in, when I sign up, I need to wait till the admin allows me to join before I can post. If I can turn a setting on to get this then please can someone tell me how do I do this? Also. If there a good way in adding my forum on google so people can fine my forum? Thanks |

The default setting for validation is set to "none" If you want to change that, and have yourself activate accounts go to Admin CP -> Security & Privacy -> New registration email validation?-> Admin Validation Problem should be solved. And regarding being notified. Just tick the "Get notified when a new user registers via email?" option on the same page. You can add your board to the board directory for people to find and also google has spiderbots that will come to your board periodically when new content is posted and copy and paste them to the search engine. |

You will need to go to your ACP. Once you have all logged in, look to the blue sidebar. You should this section: ![]() Click Board Directory. Fill out the page, and once you are done hut Submit changes. Now, addition to the directory is not instantaneous by the way. ![]() Good Luck!
