Newbie here and I could some help. I've created Categories and their corresponding forums. The forum titles show up on the mainpage of my forum but the Category titles don't. Where the Category should be all it says is "forum." When I created the Categories I'd selected "visible." What am I doing wrong? I appreciate your response! |

Hi. If the image for where the category titles are is having trouble loading, go to your Admin CP and click on the link entitled Manage Style Sheets and find the section that reads:
And replace it with the following:

This happened to me and I found that the default on my 'add category' page of 'visible' was not active unless I selected it. Try clicking the drop down and selecting 'visible'. Worked for me. Once I did that the new category names displayed just fine. |

If it was hidden, they wouldn't be able to even see the forums, which they state they can. They also stated the categories are set as Visible.

Thanks for your replies but I'm not trying to load an Image where my Category titles are...I'm trying to get my category names to show up on the mainpage. Moonface, here's the link to my forum. http://z13.invisionfree.com/RosieTest/index.php See where it says Forum right above MEMBER INTRODUCTIONS. When I created the Category (using the Visible setting) I'd named it Meet and Greet. I'm asking how I can get Meet and Greet to show up in place of Forum. Thanks again for your addressing my problem and I'm hoping you can help me resolve the issue. |

Can you provide a screenshot please or make those areas guest viewable? Currently we can't see what you're seeing to see exactly what the problem is.

Ah, I think I understand what you mean now. You want to remove the Forum text below the category name, and only have the Category name there, similar to how ZetaBoards displays forum areas. I did find a way where the Forum text is removed and the rest remains, but this won't shift the location of the category title. Would that be suitable for you? |

Yes, just like on the ZetaBoard support site where the Category names (ie., Zathyus Network New, Support Tickets, etc.) show up on the forum's mainpage, that's what I'm trying to accomplish. If you can walk me through the steps to get this done on my forum I sure would appreciate it. |

Add this to your skin CSS to remove the Forum text underneath the category name. The rest of that bar will remain though (i.e. the Topics, Replies, Last Post, etc.) and the category name will not change location. If you'd rather remove the entire bar, use this: However I don't recommend this method, as it may confuse users what number represents posts and topics for each forum area.
