I only like the first one, and the flowers look a bit sharp to me.

I'm going to sound a bit rough here but it's something I have been reiterating for a while so some will find these comments rhetorical at best.

1 - I love the mountain but am not fond of the flowers-- you have a beautiful nature shot that only requires you to aim the camera at the big scale and then there are sticks in the way.

2 - *scratches head* I quoted an Associated Press photographer somewhere along the way here who mentioned the genere of photos that look as if they were forced art. People end up taking pictures that shouldn't be taken for the mere fact of "getting the job done".

3 - Please discard that third one--It looks like a photo commonly found on an ebay sale page.

Camo I see you have the idea in mind. Some of your previous work displays this. The key is getting more shutter time. Take your A340 and keep working at it! B)

Thank for the advise, I have actually been screwed around with exposure and shutter settings, I should look at the manual because I'm not getting the best results. But, I'm hoping to get a tripod and some filters soon, I hope it goes well..

Thank you guys though.

The exposure and shutter settings are a fraction of the battle. I would say the biggest thing is the use of angles and as you guys say "perspective". After finding a great shot the ISO and PhotoShop are tools to enhance the message's communication. The best thing to do is to copy. Copy copy copy! Start researching some of the greats in photography and notice styles and prints. The best way to start off in anything is to copy what is already done and later start your own way ^_^

-----------------------

I would like to make an addition to what I just said in response to Photoshop in light of photography. I see a lot of average shots go through the photoshop factory here to make them look better. Keep in mind that Photoshop and other tools of that nature are only side tools for static and generally shound not be used as a primary message--that is what the camera is for ;)
