Hello, i'm sorry i'm a newbie at css editing.

uhm is it possible to make this black area into transparent? so my background can be seen? (On the image)

The best way to do that is to use a repeating image created with 50% opacity, and save as a PNG file. (The tiling image can any size.)

Install the image in your Style Sheets as part of the background element for that part of the board:
