I am getting tired of making regular gradiants, so I want to make more complex ones. But everytime I try, it turns out... meh.

Can anyone give any tips? The programs I use are powerpoint and then photoshop

If you have Photoshop, then forget Power Point. Completely.
Try using the pen tool and custom shapes to come up with unique designs, then use blending options to edit the colours and opacity. :)

erm... about that, it's the photoshop part I don't get right. what I do is make the best gradiant I can on powerpoint, and transfer it to photoshop and edit it there, BUt after I edit it and apply it... it sucks.

I agree. I just use Brushes, Shapes, and Paint-Bucket.
