Board Address: (Link to your board) Private Board Software: (ZetaBoards or InvisionFree) Description: (What you want your code to do) I'd like to have news bar ticker like this one on my board. For an example " latest news" head bar with " message what happen around the world" with url link read more. I don't want the news bar message to be refresh or reloading the pages when I reading something on next pages. news bar |

You can easily use a table instead of a DIV:

The RSS I want to use is from CNN. Here's the link to it: http://rss.cnn.com/rss/edition_world.rss |

I had asked where to put what... but I figured it out. Thanks for the code, it's great! (it's not a horizontal scrolling single line like I was thinking, but it's fine like it is) One thing I hadn't thought of though... Is there a way to limit it so it doesn't show on the thread pages, it's JUST on the forum & subforum pages? And one thing I noticed that I wonder if it would be possible to change, If there's no description along with the date/time and the link, it doesn't include a line for it... making the whole page seem to "jump". Is it possible to make that line "appear" even if it's blank? thus eliminating the "jump" from two lines to 3 lines and back? I appreciate all your efforts! I wish I could code in Java, HTML and CSS.... You and the other coders are superstars! Edited by RichardInTN, May 6 2013, 07:35 AM.

Hey Cory, welcome back ! Was wondering if this could be modified so that I could use it for our personal site information, like birthdays, notices, anniversaries, etc... ? |

It's always good to be back in a coding, supportive atmosphere. RichardInTN: Add this with the rest of the CSS to make all the feeds the same height: If you want to remove it from certain pages you can use an if statement, for example: Longshot1: The original version is modifiable to allow you to insert whatever messages you deem necessary. Grabbing statistical information from one page to another will require AJAX, however. |

Dude. You seriously rock! That's all. Those edits are perfect! You've been rocking the script so far, one more thing was brought to my attention (by someone here, that visited my board, actually). The feed is also on the "Welcome" screen that "Guests" see. Could I get an "if" to add that would limit it to logged in members only? Thanks in advance! Edited by RichardInTN, May 6 2013, 09:47 PM.

yes my code different. The page jumps when the last rotation comes on because there are less stories at the end... maybe we need to keep them even numbers of stories!! The box contracts because the last rotation has moved to a smaller frame. We need the frame to not expand and contract to frame the text but to remain the same size.
