Notes: This is a space/sci-fi/semi-techie theme that employs some experimental features to achieve a more streamlined presentation. The submenu is hidden while inactive but can be summoned at will by activating the menu toggle button below it. The category collapse feature also uses a hidden toggle, and features a fade effect when the categories are collapsed.

Browser Compatibility: Apogee has been tested in the latest FireFox, Chrome, IE8 and IE9. The submenu toggle lacks the fade in/out effect in IE8. Advise IE users to turn off compatibility view if they report submenu alignment issues.

Edits allowed: You may edit this theme as needed, however if major changes beyond personalizations and text styling are made, please add an Edited by note to the displayed copyright. PSDs for the logo and the logo background image (starfield) are provided for easier personalizations of those areas.

Thanks for the comments. I'm glad to see it finished too!

Mr.DC: All you have to do to activate the category collapse is click on the end of the header bar image (while logged on to a board using the theme). The expand/collapse is activated just like it would be if you had installed a visible image for the expand/collapse icons. The only difference is that the images are transparent in this case. But your cursor will "see" them so you know where to click. And the little tool tip that appears (Hide or Show) will confirm that.

I provided the screenshot of the feature because most people that visit the preview board don't register an account and therefore would not see that part of the theme.

This theme is stunning.

I would use it but had complaints about dark themes on the forum so can't really use it :( lol

No. http://api.jquery.com/one/
Also: I didn't edit that line. That's not my coding style.
That's in the default 3 piece h2 code, actually: http://z1.ifrm.com/0/2/0/p401515/3h2nofrp.js
And it all works and throws no JavaScript errors - so I'd say not to touch it.

As Helena pointed out - the expand/collapse is a transparent button. It all works.

Code:

#logo a {
display: block;
height: 100px;
margin: 0 auto;
width: 720px;
}
The logo link could essentially cover most of the #bkgdStars background.

Code:

$("blockquote dl:contains(Code:)").each(function () {
var e = $(this).width();
$(this).next().css("width", e - 11);
});
I see this line repeated in the ApogeeLayout.js file. Otherwise, awesome theme. :D

That could be handy, especially if your logo is one of those popular tiny ones. ^_^ OR... if you choose to make the theme even more minimalist and don't install any logo image at all. Then the background image would link you back to the index on its own.

NOTICE:
The CSS has been updated with some changes to allow for edits to the custom submenu. If you have installed the theme previously, please copy the new CSS version and re-install in Theme Appearance.

I've also added the PSD for the starfield image behind the logo area for further board personalization options. To change the image in the logo background area you will need to edit your image into the PSD with the exact same layer properties in order for it to blend seamlessly into the background, or you can just insert rendered images into the layer stack.) Once you have made your image, find #bkgdStars in your CSS and replace the image URL: http://z3.ifrm.com/28122/87/0/p464205/LogoBkgdStars.png with the URL for your own hosted image.

I've updated the code to be less repetitious.
