Board Address: Great Escape Board Software: ZetaBoards Description: Clickable "New Posts" forum icons. Is it possible to make the "new posts since last visit" icons on the Forum and Subforum pages (not the Topic List pages) clickable just like the Forum Titles are? If it's not possible to limit it to JUST "new posts" icons, making them clickable regardless of status would work too. |

'New' forum markers are clickable by default. If you click one, it will mark the forum as read. |

They will change from "new posts" to "no new posts", true... but they are not clickable like the Forum titles are. By that I meant clicking them would act the same... and take you to the actual Forum/Subforum (just like clicking on the Forum/Subforum Title does)... not just change the icon. |

That "kind of" works. It does open the link... but there's no option to "open in a new window" or "open in a new tab" like there is with the Forum Name. If you "right click" and select "open in new window/tab" all you get is the icon. |

Do you want it to open in a new tab/window or have the user decide? |

It'd be nice if the user could decide to either open in a new tab or window... or open in the existing tab/window. ETA: "left click" to open in existing window/tab... "right click, and choose from options" to open in new window or new tab... as I said, just like with the Forum/Subforum Names. Edited by RichardInTN, May 26 2013, 09:29 PM.

I get the 'Open Link' options upon right clicking a 'new' forum marker in Firefox and Google Chrome. |

So did I... but the result wasn't a tab with the forum opened up in it. It was a tab with ONLY the "new posts in forum" icon. and a bunch of blank white space. I do appreciate your efforts on this. Edited by RichardInTN, May 26 2013, 09:32 PM.
