First of all I would like to know if all of the skins in the InvisionFree section here works for Invision Power Board 1.3, as that is what we're using. Secondly, I'm wondering if it's possible to install a skin for our forums but to still keep the same layout; the same categories and forums in those categories. Everything else can change in whatever manner the skin dictates, but the categories, forums and permissions for the different user groups in regard to these categories I would like to be the same as before. It should therefore be split up in the same manner as it is now, with four categories and all the same forums within these categories (if you go to the website all of these categories and forums won't be visible to you since they are restricted to other user groups). |

If the board you are going to add it to is the one linked in your profile, then all InvisionFree skins will work with it as it is an InvisionFree board. When adding a skin to your board, it will only change the visual appearance of it. It will not add, remove, or re-organise any forums or categories nor mess with any board settings such as permission masks and member groups. Think of it like changing the wallpaper on your desktop. It changes visually, but your desktop icons and such don't suddenly change along with it.

Well, that's good to hear! ![]() So...to install a skin I simply replace everything everything in the CSS/header/footer/etc. depending on what parts the skin changes? For example with this skin, I would replace everything that we currently have in the header with everything that's in the "header" part of the post and do the same thing with the "CSS" part? Also, I made another post (which no one has replied to yet) about thread width. I was wondering if it's possible to have a separate width for threads (when you're inside a topic), so that all the other pages will be quite wide but when viewing threads/topics/posts it's not as wide. Another thing I was thinking about is if it's possible to have spoiler tags on our forums, since it would be quite useful. I realize these questions aren't really related to the earlier one, but I'm just asking since no one replied to the other post I made... Edited by mawarm, Aug 22 2013, 08:36 AM.

Yes. Replace what is currently within your skin with the codes supplied in the topic. ![]() As for the topic width question, I looked at it but unfortunately don't have an answer on how that could be achieved. ![]() As for spoiler tags, that would require a third party code as it isn't a standard InvisionFree feature. You may be able to find a code that offers it here: http://if.invisionfree.com/forum/1000324/ (You can also find some via this search result: http://if.invisionfree.com/search/?c=1&q=spoiler&type=topic&sort=desc&forum%5B%5D=1000324&s_m=9&s_d=15&s_y=2002&e_m=8&e_d=22&e_y=2013 ) |
