We are having the exact same problem on the board I co-admin. It just started today.
All members having issues are using Chrome version 32.0.1700.72 m and Windows 7. Other versions of Chrome are having no trouble, nor are any other browsers.
Oddly enough, some members have Chrome saying they are up to date, but are still operating on an older version than that. I would love to hear if those of you also having problems are on the same version as well. That would certainly explain why some Chrome users are having trouble but not others.
It's nothing to do with extensions- that was one of the first things I checked.

That's the version of Chrome I'm running on Windows 8.

I'm having to browse the board on Opera, and there's absolutely no problems on Opera.

Seems a lot of people are having this issue, including me. It happens on every single Zetaboards forum I visit. It's definitely a Google Chrome bug of some sort.

I'm not sure if Brandon or anybody is able to fix this issue or not. :glare:

I've started seeing it on other boards as well now. No clues as to why; I'm running Chrome 32.0.1700.72 beta-m, I just updated to the beta to see if the newest-newest version fixed it & it didn't (aka I was having this issue before getting the beta).

I'm not sure what you guys are talking about the mini-profile issue. Everything looks fine for them on my end.

Same problem here too.

AND I just tried to disallow viewing of the signatures, but they are still there even though the board setting state otherwise.

Just to let you know ..

thanks Zeta admin.

Just to let you all know that we are aware of this issue and that is does seem to be connected to the latest Chrome updates, however it is not affecting all users so that makes it more difficult to track down.

It might be helpful if we had some information on the operating systems of those affected and confirmed to be unaffected at the reported sites. You can edit that information into your posts above if you've already made a report.

I think it is caused by Chrome now rendering height:1%; on the td.c_sig differently. If you remove that from your CSS it should fix the problem...but may cause some quirks in other browsers. (I haven't noticed a huge usability problem but the height of the sig gets enlarged).

I don't usually use Chrome but just tested this and found just changing the 1% to 0.5% seems to do the trick and doesn't appear to affect the size of sigs in any way that I can see.

You are brilliant. This fixed it for my board. Everything still looks fine from Explorer, presently waiting on reports from a Firefox user but I don't expect any issues. I also just tweaked it to .5% and no one can tell the difference or is willing to risk giving me an aneurysm by admitting to it, which is equally good from my point of view. :r This was driving me nuts. Thank you so much!

I must be an idiot, because I'm not seeing that in any of my CSS for any of the themes on my board:
td.c_sig {
color:#666;
font-size:80%;
}

look for this:

Code:

td.c_sig,td.c_nosig {
height:1%;
vertical-align:top;
}

Ah, that did it.

Changed it to .5% and that solved the problem.

This fixed it for me too.

Edit: This only partially fixed it for me.

EDIT: See http://if.invisionfree.com/topic/5180060/3/#post18048050

You don't need to edit every individual theme. Go to Board Template -> Javascripts and paste this at the end:

I can determine, however, that this is not happening to me. Something must be in common to everyone experiencing it. A common theme, a common person who designed the theme, or something like that.
