You don't need to edit every individual theme. Go to Board Template -> Javascripts and paste this at the end:

Code:

<style type="text/css">td.c_sig,td.c_nosig { height:0.5%!important; }</style>

I can determine, however, that this is not happening to me. Something must be in common to everyone experiencing it. A common theme, a common person who designed the theme, or something like that.
I finished editing all the themes by the time I saw this. Hopefully it will help others though.

Some of the themes we have installed already had the height set to 0.5, most of them didn't though. The people using Chrome who don't have this going on may also be using a theme that the height was already set to 0.5.

Didn't work for me.
I'm using version 32.0.1700.72 m of Google Chrome on Windows 7 Ultimate.
I'm using a slightly modified version of Acid Tech for my theme.

I just heard from a member today that this is happening to her. She's using Chrome so I told her to try accessing the board with another browser. I guess if we have more members with issues I can add that code.

It's been messing with me too. Using the latest Chrome. Been messed up for about a week. I even went through a CSS validator (needed to anyway, whew) to see if it was my fault. It's not. :glare: I was playing with td.c_sig,td.c_nosig and changed the height to a solid value. It worked, but wasn't effective; caused other size problems. Even played with overflow: auto; - and it was still turning out weird.

Still need to figure out how to 'fix' the issue. I'll try what's been suggested, thank you, my ZB support group. :)

*OS: Windows 8.1 (Doesn't matter, it's Chrome's fault.)
Browser: Chrome Version 32.0.1700.72 m

** The "hotfix" CSS code worked for me.
Code:

td.c_sig,td.c_nosig {
height: 0.5% !important;
}

I just upgraded to Chrome 32 and saw it as well. Yep, Chrome 32 is the link.

But it's actually a funny thing, because the way I'm seeing it, it's not Chrome's fault. Rather, it's ZetaBoards's fault. Having a setting of height: 1% (or even height: 0.5%) on that table cell is improper CSS. What it's saying is that the table cell should be as high as 1% of the table row it's contained in. (Whoever designed the default theme did this as a "CSS hack" to force the cell to have a minimum height to keep it at the bottom of the screen.) And since the row doesn't have a specified height, Chrome automatically defaults it to 1% of the table itself (the table, in this case, is the topic/reply).

height: 0.5% is not supposed to fix it. I don't know how to properly fix it so that the signatures stay at the bottom of the screen, but for now, the proper fix is to remove the CSS declaration altogether. When I disabled it in my console, the signature looked perfectly fine. This means that every theme needs to have "height: 1%" removed from their CSS.

Of course, someone go ahead and prove me wrong before this starts a revolution against every theme on ZetaBoards, or if you have another idea go ahead, but that's what I'm seeing.

EDIT: Okay, I did some more fiddling around and discovered that the problem was the percent sign. The proper way to perform that CSS trick is "height: 1px". So, everyone put this in your Board Template -> Javascript:
Code:

<style type="text/css">td.c_sig,td.c_nosig { height:1px!important; }</style>
(Remove the code I posted on the previous page if you used it)

Thanks, I had one of the Admins update it on my board, and it seemed to just create a lot of blank space... Hopefully the 1px will solve the issue.
Tsk tsk with the lazy "CSS hack"

EDIT: Still created some blank space.

{ height:1px!important; }

^ That won't work. I've tried absolute px values. It either causes the glitch, or inserts too much or too little space, cutting off the signature. That's why I even tried fixing it with overflow. None of which worked. The "hack" is the only working solution, in my instance/experience thus far.

Question, what about those who are having this issue on forums that they're not Admins on?

As a member without Admin privileges, your options are:
1) PM your Admin informing them (politely) of the problem along with a link to this thread;
2) Changing which browser you view affected forums with (this is a Chrome specific problem);
3) Opting to hide signatures on affected forums (which can be done via your account settings).

I hide signatures on the board about a week ago, but it's weird without them.

So this is being worked on?

A possible way to deal with your situation is with user styles. Chrome has a Stylish extension that would allow you to affect the styles (CSS) on boards you visit that haven't applied the hotfix. You can get it in their web store.
