What is the preferred method to upload files? Through file manager or in posts? Could post images in admin room so that other admin are aware of the new images uploaded? Thanks.
I uploaded to file manager. Works peachy. I don't like the folders so much because they have a color background and look odd with most themes. Were do I find nice forum markers that are little bigger than zeta original and have no background color? Thank You.

It's really a matter of preference. File manager: keeps everything is in one place. The downside of that is that if you have file names that are similar, it can get confusing as to what is what after a while.

My preference is to upload to topics rather than use the file manager. The advantage is that you can sort things in an orderly way (example: all images for a particular theme in one topic), and you also have the option to edit attachments which is often more efficient than uploading a new file and then replacing a URL when an edit to an image or code is needed. And if you use Nicolas' handy attachment thumbnail code, you even have previews of your image attachments.

Forums used upload files can be located in either a staff only section, or in member view--your choice. Downside might be that if you have lots of things to sort out and have multiple upload topics, you might forget where you put things. ^_^
