Description: (What you want your code to do)

Currently, on our forum index, to the right of each forum section, the standard code displays the subject line of only the one most recent post that has recent discussion with it. I'd like to request a code mod that would enable Admin to customize that: so it can show the subject lines of more of the most recent posts in a forum section; or display no subject lines there at all.

I may have to disappoint you here. A code request like this would require many ajax requests. If you aren't aware, an ajax requests means it searches for info on another webpage and brings it back to the current one. Because there are multiple forums on each site, it would require a lot of those requests to fetch the latest topics from that certain forum and then apply that information to the forums themselves. The problem with that is that it would lag your site terribly and may not be 100% effective.

There are alternatives though, one of which I would recommend to you. This one. It displays the latest posts in a sidebar. Check it out :)

This request was deemed impractical by our staff. This could mean that the feature you have requested is impossible to write, requires PHP and/or hosting, or requires too many AJAX requests. If you have any questions about why this request is not practical, feel free to contact Ardy .
