the CSS in IPB 1.3 is in a different order to IF 1.3, and there are extra parts that you need to keep from the default IPB CSS and add to the IF CSS, its really complicated and the board wrappers even more so, i wouldnt try it if i were you.

IPB uses key html and if the css you enter does not correspond to the html, the skin won't work.

Basically, you need to start from scratch and know what you're doing.

Not if you're using 1.3 - I've used one of the skin I used for my IF forum on a IPB 1.3 forum to see if it worked and it pretty much did the job, it only needed few tweakes here and there.

As for IPB 2.x - well, IF skin won't work there as the CSS are more complicated because they've more elements however converting a IF skin to IPB 2.x is not that complicated, if you know a little of CSS and how they work. :)

Thats not true at all. IPB 1.3 and If use the exact same css stylesheet. The only difference is that IPB puts a few things at the top to fix some errors that are not really noticable on firefox or IE. Also the board wrappers are not seperated as in the If versin and they contain a few differences.

Basically, if you know css, you can easily transform an IF skin into an IPB skin, and viceversa. Of course, it's harder with 2.0 but with a little work you can keep the same aspect.

That would take a long time

The default css of Invision Power Board v1.3 is the same as InvisionFree v1.0.
