Not Receiving Email Notifications Anymore?

We have been made aware that some of you are not receiving email notifications from new posts/topics being made, or when you receive a new PM. You might also fail to receive new registration notifications, as well as Bulk Emails send from the Admin CP.

After some investigation, we have found this problem is due to email providers blocking the email address that you have set in the General Configuration section of your Admin CP - The Board Email Address option. This email address is what email providers (And your users) see as the "Sender", so if your board sends a lot of email notifications, you might find email providers block them as spam.

The Solution

Simply changing the Board Email Address to a different address has been proven to fix this problem.

Note: this does NOT have to be a valid/working email address. You can put a fake email address here to restore email functionality. The email address is only used if users want to reply directly to you via email (Which you probably wouldn't want anyway). Using an email address such as noreply@yourboardurl.com is usually a good choice for a fake email address, as it lets users know not to reply to the email directly.
