visually impairment vs captcha; disability issue

i have a bit of visual impairment. it hampers my ability in registrating on forums. iam somewhat disabled. i was conversing with my mates on TND, they suggested i post to try and shine a little light on this matter.

now this post is directed at the following forum:

(chilled echoes) and (universal gaming). iam asking for the admins of these forums to possibly pre-register me. i cant make heads and tails out of the captcha code-so frusterating. iam using my mobile and not a computer.

if iam denied this unusual request so be it.

I think it would be best to contact one of the admins via a PM for this kind of request, however, i see your predicament. I can only hope that when Brandon releases the ZB mobile app, there will be some way to use the captcha in a nice way for mobile viewing.

an app! you already know i live and breathe apps. looking forward to it. forums should follw suite as well. the target is visually impaired folks. im not as young and full of life as i once was when i first arrived online.

I have contacted a member of the admin team on Chilled Echoes regarding this topic and they should hopefully be contacting you shortly here about getting you a preregistered membership on CE.

The other forum you mentioned is run by an active member and staff member here so he should be able to help you out as he has apparently just visited this topic just now.

I've already assisted them. I also told them to contact Reverie on here too and that if they hadn't replied I was going to ask Dragon Lord on my board to let Reverie know about this, since I know he's staff at CE. :)

Yeah, I didn't know where else skyfall was a member for them to get in touch with her so this was the only forum I could think of. XD

I'm not sure if on the phone has this capability but I think there is an option for you to listen to the numbers and then type them out. O.o but I'm not sure!

Just out of interest, Moonface (or any other staffers - you get to test things out early), do you think that some sort of captcha improvement will be made for the Mobile app or not?
