Which is a harsher punishment. Think about it with death they insert a needle, painless and you never have to see the prison ever again. Life in a prison must be terrible. You get treated like ****, you'll hate life. Eating nasty food for the rest of your life and never breathing fresh air ever again. I think life in prison is harsher. What about you all?

I'd say life in prison is worse. they always talk about the edeath penalty being so horrible, but honestly, i'd rather have it than life in prison.

Yea I bet they will send Sadam Huessin into death, but I actually think that's a good idea since he is so dangerous we cannot risk him escaping or a breakout...

Yea I can understand that, but your gonna die sometime right? So would you suffer before you die in life in prison or just get it over with while your still a bit free...

There would be too much sorrow in a prison. If It was just a simple, painless needle I would take that forsure. I would hope they would atleast let me say my good-bye's though as im sure they would.

I'd rather live out the rest of my life hoping the dude next to me drops the soap in the showers then to die and not do anything ever again, ever.

Prison in the U.S. is not worse. As long as you keep to yourself and don't bother people.

Think about it. You make honest tax-paying citizens pay for for your clothes, room, and food for your entire life. You can read, work out, watch tv, and in some facilities even go online. You can mail people, see people for visits, and even have sexual visits with people on the outside.

Explain how that's terrible for murdering someone. It's not. They need to put them in a cell, no windows, no good food, and make them pay for it until there bank accounts are drained, then kill them. I don't want to pay for Joe Shmoe who just killed a girl and rapped her. Why do I want him to live ? Why does he deserve free food and not the guy on the corner of my block who was layed off and can't pay rent. Screw the system, jail is not that bad, it's only made out to look terrile on tv and movies. There may be some downsides, but come on... if you kill someone and then get free room and food for life on someone elses dollar, that's not fair.

In my opinion it's best to treat inmates humanely. Just because someone commits a crime doesn't mean he or she is a bad person. People make mistakes, but I don't think anyone should be treated lowly.
Often criminals aren’t made on the streets, but rather they are made in a jail cell. If you lock someone up like an animal he‘ll be released as an animal. However if they are treated like the average person, when they are released they would have a much better chance of fitting back into society.

Ok a mistake huh. Let us say you have a sister, a guy comes in kills your sister rapes her and nails her to the front of your house. WOuld you treat that guy just like anyone, you wouldn't care that he did that or would you be more humane and rip his throat out.

Life in prison is a lot worse. For one, imagine being in a jail for your entire life, doing the same boring stuff every day, for x number of days. :)

Someone like that would probably have a mental problem. Sure I would be mad and probably want to rip his throat out, but he's still a human being. If he's not executed he should be treated as I said. After enough time, as he grows older he could become a different person ashamed of what he had done.

Plus not everyone in jail commits horrible crimes like that, some may even be innocent.
