This issue seems to be on and off for me and my forum, with redirecting to what appears to be malware trying to disguise itself as a Java update. The browser forcefully redirects to (staff only link) and it ONLY happens on my forum as well as the support forum, nowhere else, which obviously makes me think it's more ZB related than anything elsee. It also happens in every browser I've tried. I've run malware scans etc and there's nothing on my computer. The only way to stop it has been disabling javascript, which itself messes up my forum as we have various scripts. Is anybody else having this problem? I know I've seen threads before and it seemed to be because of some of the advertising which is why I posted it in this forum.

If it's happening on more than one forum, and includes this forum then it's likely a dodgy ad that is causing it. Try and get a screenshot of the ad that appears to cause it so Brian can take it up with the ad providers.

Unfortunately, it won't let me get that far. The pop up is pretty immediate and doesn't let you scroll while it's up.

"PLES RING IF AN RNSER IS REQIRD."

Hi there,

This is an issue we're aware of that seems to be affecting users in the UK exclusively. We have a handful of tickets from boards reporting this issue on other communities, so we know it is not limited to the support board.
Our developer has been made aware of the problem and, fortunately, some of our staff are in the UK so we've been able to track down the problem ad fairly easily. We hope to have the problem resolved as soon as possible - but, with that said, it could still be a day or two.

Your patience is appreciated!

The problem appears to be fixed for me, so I presume it is for everyone. Thanks to all who worked hard to deal with this issue rather promptly.

My board, above on server 1, having seemed fixed, has started having the problem again. Reporting this at 2:19am BST on 17th August 2014.

I never said it was fixed, just that we're aware and working toward a solution. :)

That's right, you did. I presumed it had been fixed as the issue stopped happening, so when it restarted I reckoned I should let you know...could be pretty useful information had you guys thought you'd fixed it and the problem resurfaced.

this started yesterday for me. And I agree its one of the adverts but i haven't been able to pinpoint which one. I use Mozilla firefox, the reason i say that is because sometimes these things only affect certain browsers..

the only way I have got round it so far to get back on the forum (including this one) is to clear my cookies.

edit
my forum and this one redirects to this link - do not download the java

I guess I spoke too soon, because the issue appears to be back on our board, don't know about anybody else.

We've spotted a flash ad this is now causing redirect issues and are taking steps to get it removed.
