I do a lot of restoration work in the galleries here, and that keeps me pretty busy. However, I'm thinking of taking a break from that and working on a new theme. I decided it might be fun to get some ideas from you guys in the community as to what you think might be a good project that would also fill a space in the galleries that is not already covered. Possibly think about themes people have already unsuccessfully asked for as inspiration. I'm not limiting ideas to anything specific. You could suggest a color pallete, a style, a genre or some thematic idea that you feel would appeal to network users. Your idea can be general, or be fleshed out as much as you like. I also plan to release a mobile version of whatever the theme is, if practical. I'll see how this topic goes and what is submitted. If I decide to do your idea, I'll work your name into the theme title. o, and there won't be a vote. This will be decided purely on what appeals to me and what I think I can do justice to.

Just remembered seeing this - http://w11.zetaboards.com/znbsandbox/index/ Some really interesting things tried there, would be great to see something that tries to do it a little differently. |

Certainly done differently to most themes. It's unique, and I like that about the theme, but I'm not a particular fan of using it for real. Nice to look at, not so nice to use... Out of interest, what is so special about Outline Arux? Sure it's a pretty nice theme, but other than being the last 'official' one, why is it so good? I personally believe Nova is more radical that Arux... |

I think there are a number of things that make Arux stand out as being a bit different. You have the H2's for starters which are almost non-existent - Might stretch page The top menus are fairly unique in so far as the way they are initially represented by just a graphic and then take on an almost "metro" style - ![]() The fast reply that just hovers isn't something I've ever seen on a ZB forum, although in all fairness I'm not a fan of it but nonetheless it certainly is a change from the norm - ![]() The changed layout with the user info above the post, and customisable is a new thing, I know this is now achievable with DPM's code but it was a new direction at the time. I especilly like how the user levels have been incorporated into the avatar - Might stretch page I just think that a number of innovative ideas were all used at the same time for that theme, and for me at least, the end result didn't resemble a forum I would expect to see was running ZB software. |
