It would work if threads with hidden posts were bumped to the top and there was also some indication in forum view too. Perhaps something such as 1 hidden post written under the replies tally. I think this would work even on busy forums. Not sure if this would be less server intensive than having it report to the RCP. I'm not very technical Im afraid. |

It couldn't simply be cloned... Custom thread field relates to threads, custom profile fields relates to users. Two very different things which most likely have two very different file systems or at least tables in the database. It will most likely have been created completely independent of the profile options and therefore each additional feature has to be created separately for it as well. Just because profile fields have one thing definitely does not mean that topics will inherit that functionality. |

Well, putting aside your ignorance of intricacies of software development and the fact that I'd rather see incremental change (like we saw with custom profile fields, which were not always this flexible) - we're now off topic, and Ben split this topic away to keep another topic focused. Feel free to discuss this upgrade in its thread. This topic is for suggestions/feedback for "[improving] the way we see queued posts and topics". Which has been addressed as something we're aware of and working on for a future update; but new ideas for how this might be integrated are always welcome. Off topic posts will be hidden. |

It's difficult at best to suggest improvements over a system we know nothing about. |

There is no system: only ideas. So any ides for how you'd like to see this implemented are welcome. |

I agree. Going into a forum to see queued posts isn't enough info either. If you click on Replies of a topic that says +X queued you won't know who made the posts requiring approval unless you know every person who is on modq by heart. It would be great if somehow the list was split by regular replies and queued replies. We could click on the user with queued replies, but instead of approving one post at a time, we could mass approve or delete them. That's just a suggestion if a more complex way isn't workable. Although that may be complex too. I have no idea. My dream for it would be to have a separate control panel for queued posts and topics that could be easily approved or deleted.

With absolutely not understanding of coding or anything of the sort, isn't there a way the mod approval posts and topics can be added to the active topics list? Or what about making some sort of Mod CP similar to the Report CP? If a post or topic needs to be approved it would be sent there? Sounds so simple just saying it but I'm sure it's no where near as simple to make happen. Those two, I think, would be my ideal solution(s) to making the mod approval topics and posts more visible. (I think both have been suggested, I know the separate panel has in the post above mine but I'm really more so just adding my two cents. )

I'm not sure if there is a bug, but I'm not even getting the notifications on the forum page now. I've no idea how many posts are awaiting to be approved or where they are.
