the domain can be set to redirect to a sub-domain so typing in facebook.com will redirect you to www.facebook.com and obviously typing www.facebook.com works regardless. The same should apply to ZB (with an option for those few boards who use no sub-domain).

Also, sub-domains cost money. Not a lot but if it's a board for a hobby then it will add on to the cost, they went for a free board afterall ^.^ so buying forum.domain.com may not be the best option.

Guys, I don't think it's going to happen and you should drop it. I've explained why things are set up this way, and the chief argument against that seems to be "but we want it".

Quozzo: I'm not sure what decade (or awful domain registrar) you're coming from where subdomains cost money - but the domain services most people use, and that ZetaBoards recommends, all offer free and unlimited (or at least numerous free) domain records... and "www" is, itself, a subdomain...

I use 123-reg. The biggest registrar in the UK and they charge £10 per annum per subdomain. Ive also seen them advertised on ZB so not sure if i would call them "aweful". How much does godaddy charge?
