Hi, just a suggestion.

Maybe you could replace the "MSN Name" field with a "Skype" name field. MSN doesn't even exsist anymore :)

Also appoligises if this isn't the spot to suggest this.

I don't think a whole lot of people use AIM or Yahoo! (messenger) anymore either. However, one of the staff members is going to come in here and suggest that you simply create a new profile field for Skype.

We have the ability to create custom profile fields, yes, but near obsolete parts of the core forum software also need to be updated when necessary. In the case of MSN becoming Skype, yes, it would make perfect sense for Brandon to make the suggestion change. In the case of AIM and Yahoo!, maybe not.. but I've yet to see anyone use either of those fields on the boards I visit.

I agree with you, Grawp, but I have a different suggestion: add the default profile fields to the custom profile field page and allow us to edit them as though they were custom. It makes very little sense to even have default fields when administrators can add their own fields quite easily, especially when the default fields are for outdated forms of communication that people rarely use.

I agree, that would be much better. I am one of the super rare people who STILL are using Yahoo Messenger, but I know others are not. Instead indeed I would add a Steam screen name or Skype.
