At my forum: http://atriumforum.com/ I have been able to get on and post, but all members who are messaging me over skype right now are telling me they have this error. I was wondering how long this will last/how to go about fixing it? |

Hi guys, As part of our ongoing work to prevent this malicious attack on our service, we've started to implement CloudfFlare protection. There were some DNS issues when installing it, including for the support board, which Brandon was looking into. I reached out to him earlier regarding if this change would mean anything for users with custom domains but have not yet received a rely. I have since alerted him to this topic. You may be able to resolve the issue by temporarily disabling your domain and bulk mailing the ZB url to your users. Your patience with this ongoing issue is appreciated. (And Reverie, I edited your post to remove your IP from the pasted text. )

Heyya, Apologies if I'm not supposed to pretend to know what I'm talking about here, but I'm going to do just--as I do happen to happen to know what I'm talking about. This time. Mostly. I was having the same issue earlier and I decided to do something about it (yay?). I noticed that Cloudflare conveniently provides an error code and explored their site for information about said error. I found this, concerning Error 1001, the one we're given. This part is the most relevant to us: "You could also be receiving this message if you are trying to CNAME a domain not on CloudFlare to a domain that is on CloudFlare." In simpler terms, "Cloudflare isn't allowing us to point our domains to servers (eg.: our Zetaboards forums) in their network without being in said network." I can vouch for this as I added my site (EternityRPC)to their network and updated my DNS servers to the values they provided at the end of registration. Following that, the url worked again. The process wasn't too annoying, though I'm a bit irked at being forced to join yet another site/system/network to get my domain working with "my" forum. It's nothing /too/ horrible, of course, though a bit of warning would've been nice. At least I managed to beat the bulk of my forum's members, or else I would've never heard the end of it.

We're working to get detailed instructions for those of you with custom domains that are receiving this message. If you're the owner of a community reviving this message feel free to shoot me a PM. |

I am also having this issue, and frankly all these issues are getting extremely annoying. Every time I read on here that things are getting solved and our boards are up and I tell all my users through social media they are up, the forums go down again. I read the topic Ayzek posted, but didn't really see any form of instructions at what to point my domain to. http://forums.mmasportscards.com/index/# What should I be doing? I made an account, when you add a website do you add the zetaboards url from their server, or our custom url? Wow so now I have to pay for a service to have the most optimized settings. This is really getting ridiculous. [EDIT]Well I have been able to get this figured out and the site works at least for me. Edited by MMASCC, Nov 29 2014, 01:29 PM.

Getting the same DNS error when trying access my forum - bcfcforum.co.uk (z4.zetaboards.com/BLUES_FORUM), and also notice that I'm unable to raise a support ticket from ACP. Page does not load.

Fixing this for you now. Check your domain in a few minutes and it should work. If not, it may be an issue with S4 as I can't get boards to load on there regardless of whether they have a domain, in which case it's an issue beyond what I can deal with and can only pass it to Brandon's attention to see if he is able to sort it. If you were getting an error from CloudFlare about your DNS records, they should be fixed now. |

NOW we are experiencing Error 522 Ray ID: 1911799d63520d3d Host Error "If you're the owner of this website: Contact your hosting provider letting them know your web server is not completing requests. An Error 522 means that the request was able to connect to your web server, but that the request didn't finish. The most likely cause is that something on your server is hogging resources. Additional troubleshooting information here." |
