What happened?

The initial connection between CloudFlare's network and the origin web server timed out. As a result, the web page can not be displayed.
What can I do?

The change should take place almost immediately from what I've seen. However, this will only stop the DNS error messages. If your board is still down regardless and not displaying this message it may be the server is down instead.
OK, that's good.

But if we use multiple custom URLs are you going to have to add each of them to Cloudflare?

Tried posting this 3 times but keep getting a Cloudflare 502 error.

If you use multiple domains I'll need to add them all probably. Supply the rest and I can get that done for you.

The CloudFlare 522 Error is due to the server being down. As some may have just experienced on this board.

First, CloudFlare is not some awful thing we have thrust upon you and are "requiring for your boards to work". CloudFlare has been added to ZetaBoards across the service to help mitigate DDoS attacks. By virtue of how it works, boards with default ZB domains don't change a thing and they're protected. Boards with custom domains need to be set up (our default domains are set up with it). Without CloudFlare (or a solution like it) your board would just be down for larger and larger swaths of time.

Now, CloudFlare error 522 is not something you can fix. It means CloudFlare couldn't reach our server - so your board is "down" (this being as a result of the DDoS attack). Once this is all fully implemented and sorted out you really shouldn't experience it very often. ;)

We know. It will be fixed when it gets fixed. Until then it's just going to be a matter of waiting because there just isn't much more anyone who isn't Brandon or our server provider can do to stop it.

With that explanation out of the way, the issue we're facing with the servers is a very, very difficult one to avert. We're working on ways to avoid this sort of issue in the future, but they take time and lots of effort to properly implement. It's in progress.

I've added my name to the support thread asking for help as I can't access my site using the domain. I think it's a great thing that we're introducing Cloudflare (I was actually going to suggest this myself a few days ago!)
