Is documentation for the JS API itself truly a necessity? I agree that it should be noted somewhere (perhaps with some general coding guidelines), but the functions themselves are pretty self explanatory.

Explanatory, yes, but I feel it would be a good idea to note it somewhere for posterity sake and also to help newer developers. Knowing what 'tools' are out there to aid development is always good knowledge. Maybe this is something that could either be placed in the tutorials subforum, or somewhere here: http://docs.zetaboards.com/?

Just FYI, my ZB Library mod adds a lot of those features to grab what page the user is on.
I'd like to share my code as well for temporary usage until/if the suggestions made here become available in a future ZetaBoards update.
