On my board, I plan on launching an RPG soon and there's going to be different classes. Each class is going to have a different color username, but it would be too much work manually adding the color for each user, would it be possible to create a form or some sort of system in which members would be linked to a webpage and in that webpage, they type in their forum username and then select which RPG class they're in and based on the RPG class answer, it would automatically change. Would this be possible?

I know there's a code that'll give the user the option to select it, but it gives the option to all users and I wouldn't like normal members with colored username ;)

Unless I'm missing something, do you mean just having different colours for the group members are part of? This documentation explains how to accomplish that.

Automatically changing a users username color based on a preference on the forum is not practical, seeing as you would have to store the information in a profile field and it will require an AJAX request for each user link on the page to determine what their username color should be.

This request was deemed impractical by our staff. This could mean that the feature you have requested is impossible to write, requires PHP and/or hosting, or requires too many AJAX requests. If you have any questions about why this request is not practical, feel free to contact Roby .
