I've recently been working on a massive project for Foundation and I'm finally ready to show you it! The Unofficial ZB Theme Guide! Ooooh, aaaah! What is it? Nicola's Documentation (and the official ZB theme guide) has been a foundation for teaching Zetaboards theme coding for years and, whilst it's still very useful, the web has progressed a lot since it was written. In addition, the documentation was never fully finished and there are elements of theme-creation left un-mentioned. With this project, we aim to update, expand on and finish what was started. Where can I see it? The current version of the Theme Guide is always displayed at http://themeguide.website. What can I do to help? There are two main ways of helping: 1. Contribute - It's a huge project and I can't do it alone. If you've got a section you'd like to see, and you've got some experience in CSS development, then please send me (or post below) your tips, tricks or changes to anything I've already written. I'd be more than happy to add it to the guide, and I'll make sure you are fully credited for your contribution. 2. Generate ideas - As this guide is currently in development (and will be for a very long time as we strive to make this the most complete ZB guide ever), there's always room for additions. If you've always wondered about something, or you're not sure how to make something work, please let us know via this topic. We'll strive to add in a section on the guide that helps. What are the future plans? As I mentioned, I'm hoping to make this the most complete ZB documentation ever written. I've got a few sections to finish that are already partly viewable on the current guide, but I won't stop there. I'd like to cover design aspects, create a step by step guide to coding a full theme, describe creating responsive designs plus anything that's suggested to me from now to then. Let the guiding begin! |

Looks like a neat amendment to the existing guide. Thanks for sharing. |
