Board Software: ZetaBoards
Description: I'd like a script where any member can undo their own post(s) deletion. Currently only mods/admins have the ability to undo deletion.

I don't believe this code will be possible. There is no way to enable deleted "post restoration" for people other than mods/admins.

If you give members the ability to delete their own posts, it does not allow them to restore it.

You could alternatively install the code which forces the delete button to send the posts to the trash can, and then admins/moderators can restore any posts lost from there instead.

(Although I'm not sure whether that code works with Member deletion, I don't see why it doesn't/why it can't be modified slightly if not).

Yeah it doesn't work on members.

But is it really hard to give members the same power to undelete like mods/admins? You're just using the same script but on another group.

As far as I can tell, that's most likely a security measure and is definitely a software limitation.. thus it's something that can't exactly be done with a code. :P

Can members split there own posts? I'm thinking they could split their post and then send it to the trash, all done with AJAX of course. I doubt they can though

I think you'd have to give them access to use the trash can, Quozzo.. thus they could trash everyone's posts. I think. :P

This request was deemed impractical by our staff. This could mean that the feature you have requested is impossible to write, requires PHP and/or hosting, or requires too many AJAX requests. If you have any questions about why this request is not practical, feel free to contact Roby .
