I am new to zetaboards.

I was wondering if zetaboards has the ability to access/transfer the database from my old hosting site over to zetaboards so that my site doesn't lose all its content?

M is for Mod

I'm sorry, but data can neither be imported nor exported for ZetaBoards at this time.

As Helena stated, this is impossible right now but depending on how big your previous forum was and what it's niche is, it shouldn't be terribly difficult moving over to ZB. :)

Yeah if you do this:

Code:

<?php

$newlink = file_get_contents('http://s1.zetaboards.com/yourforumname/');
$newforum = 'http://s1.zetaboards.com/yournewforumname/');
$admp =
for($admp = 0;$admp < CATEGORY_NAME_ON_MAIN_PAGE;$admp++) {
// Find category name and then scan all the topics...
// Then take all topics and repost them on new message board...
}

?>

That code does not actually work but trust me if I gave you the one that actually does... hahahahaha... It can be done though...

If the forum you already have allows you to access the MySQL database to download a backup, then you could at least have the files that represent your old forum. But if ZetaBoards does not allow you to upload those files into the new forum you would have to end up writing a code that scans the files and then adds all of them on the new forum. Which then the dates and times of topics and posts and join dates would all be wrong which again you could fix with a code... But it is definitely not a permanent or recommended solution.
