Why did staff members go to a board with a different username and say in this topic, they used a username that isnt from here, why couldn't they use there original username from IF support? That's because anyone can say that.

we use those names to browse violations undetected. I tend to register with my name and webmaster@yodaminch.com for my email when giving formal warnings.

yeah thats the reason I was thinking you would do that. That's good. If it wasn't you yoda, and another staff member joined a forum, pm'ed the person with a random name, then how would you know which staff member it was, if it was a staff member?

I always use my webmaster email and tell the person to feel free to pm here for verification. :)

Why would you need to be "undetected"?

If they ban you for being a member of InvisionFree staff then their board should be deleted, no? :P

Its not so simple. Some try to be slick by having members post before they can gain access to certain sections. So we use names to register and get in. I have an unlimited supply of sw names, so beware. B)

Yoda, you're telling too many of our secrets... :P These petty Mortals don't deserve to know half the stuff you're explaining to them. B)

In any case, if someone PMs you on your Board claiming to be InvisionFree Staff, ask them for a way to confirm their identity. If they can, then you should listen to them. If not, then ban that person.

I really don't see what the diffrence is, whether or not they use their own name, they should just send email, because I could go onto somone's forum and say, I am Duffman, I created IF, give me acces to your admin cp, or you will be deleted!
If someone named bob, got on my forum and said to remove something or get my bored deleted, I'd laugh as I hit the ban button because, I would assume the member is just a trouble causer.
