Can we resize ads for mobile?

I am working on a Zetaboards forum and the banner ads always expand the page width. I know it's Zetaboards policy to not attempt removing them, but I think this solution is fair. I would like to scale down the ads for mobile at various width breakpoints. This way it doesn't break the design, but keeps the ads visible as they are required. Is this okay? Do I need to show a preview of what I would like to attempt?

You are permitted to cut off the overflow of the ads by adding this to the CSS of your mobile themes:

Admin CP Posted Image Themes Posted Image Themes Posted Image Edit Theme Appearance
Code:

#main {
overflow-x: hidden;
}

Oh, cutting off the overflow is a decent solution. I was more concerned with the ads still functioning the way they were intended. I also considered this idea of resizing them so it goes like this:
Posted Image Posted Image

Padding would have to be adjusted, but on mobile, people would still be able to read the ad because of the higher dpi. The design of the ad isn't compromised as much as seeing only about half of it. Is this solution also acceptable? Otherwise, I'll take overflow hidden option.

You are permitted to resize advertisements in that manner so long as you know how to do so without compromising the size on non-mobile devices.
