Today I read in newspaper, in some schools, they are now allowing you to use the internet during quizzes. I find this funny, as this is now 'legalized cheating.'

They think that in the future you won't need to know anything, except how to look for the answers on the internet, as they think this is the future. :ermm:

I think this is stupid. What do you think?

Not everything on the internet is true. You usually have to check out several sites to make sure the information is correct.

Isn't that still learning?

Learning how to use the internet, which everyone actually knows how to do. O_o And the future, is not the internet, it's the real world that counts.

By looking at the answers, aren't they learning the answers?

Not really. :ermm:

You have to the take the time to actually study.

Just using Ctrl+C/Ctrl+V isn't going to help you learn anything. Like, if it was a class centered around computers or whatever...it's understandable. A history class? That's literally giving them an answer sheet.

Not really, considering most will just copy it down in one form or another, then completely forget about it.

Then again, it's not like our generation's actually learning anything anyways. It's all about studying, cramming, getting good grades then forgetting everything you learned.
