Heres a question, does God even exist? Your question is self contradictory(or whatever way you spell it ).

Heres a question, do you even exist?

In theory, yes I do I guess.

Why? What theory?

God can do ANYTHING. Anything is possible in the eyes of God. It says that in the scriptures.

I guess because a butterfly cant think such complex things and learn like humans can. Therefor it couldnt learn to do a math problem and such because it doesnt know it exists. I cant explain, but I exist :S Theres like cientific tests that can prove I existe lol :S Or I could be that fly that you didnt kill because you were to lazy :ermm: This forum makes my brain hurt

True, but the question if I existe can be answered through cientific tests. But I understand your point.Sometimes I believe in God but sometimes I find it hard to believe in him.

You guys think your all good at questioning, but when theres so much questioning about God you guys just refer to faith. Well, our "faith" is that we are real, yet like everything our time will end and there will be no more life after death.

I never said it doesn't take faith to believe that the big bang is true.

Ah, but it doesn't. The parts of the Big Bang theory that we're reasonably sure about - the fact that an expansion did happen at the beigninning of the Universe due to galaxies moving away from each other, dark matter, etc. are the theory. The parts that we don't know much about, such as how the matter got there or what happened "before" it, the theory does not attempt to speculate on. Also, if new information is discovered that contradicts the current theory, it will be changed to fit the new information. I don't see how believing in that would require faith.

anything unproven requires faith.

the very fact that i wont die tomorrow requires faith.

there are parts of the Bible and God that we are "reasonably sure about" as well.

Over 25,000 Sites:
Have been discovered by archaeology pertaining to the Bible, as well as the records of tens of thousands of individuals and events.  Nelson Glueck, the renowned Jewish archaeologist, said,
"It may be stated categorically that no archaeological discovery has              ever controverted its biblical reference."

Quote:

Many archaeologists have been convinced by their own findings that the Bible is an astonishing book--some even to the point of becoming Christians.  Sir William Ramsey, for, example, was a wealthy atheistic English archaeologist who was determined to disprove the Bible.  He spent many decades over his diggings and published book after book, first confirming the Word of God, and finally declaring that he had become a Christian as a result of his findings!  Of course, the unbelieving world was aghast!  That's because, as Yale archaeologist Miller Burroughs states,  "The excessive skepticism of many liberal theologians stems not from a careful evaluation of the available data, but from an enormous predisposition against the super-natural."  Like our media today, which chooses to splash any apparent findings that contradict the Bible across every magazine cover and newspaper, but ignore the numerous findings that support it, the Jesus Seminar and other institutions of  "Higher Criticism" continue to battle the mounting evidence that the Bible is,  indeed, the very Word of God.

satellite images have also recorded a very large object resting on top of mt. ararat. unfortunately, the majority of turkey is muslim, and they arent exactly hyped for the finding of noah's ark.

i read a book on noah's ark and ararat, and there are hundreds of accounts of stray soldiers and such in the past who have ventured there for some cause and reported a large structure, or even a huge boat.

http://msnbc.msn.com/id/4838007/ --the mission was cancelled due to the muslim turkish and the war on terror.

it is ridiculous to say that any theory doesn't require faith. im glad you are so solid in your beliefs, but your kidding yourself if you have acually come to believe that the big bang theory is fact.

Maybe not for you, Mr. Egocentric, but for human beings maybe it does.
