Well, anybody involved around hockey or any sport in general probably knows that Mario Lemieux has already retired from the NHL.

It was a semi surprise to me becuase of his recent heart condition and his lack of "noticable" skill this year. He's been lacking in points this year and I think everyone ivolved in hockey knew it was coming at one point.

It's not like he's leaving without his share of points and trohpies from previous years, but my question to you is, Did you think the time was right in the first place, even though he claimed it had nothing to do with selling the team, do you think it had something to do with it, and like TSN asked, Do you think he's one of the top 5 players ever to touch the ice?

This is coming from a Canadian Hockey Fan :stupid: but the only reason I think the time was right is becuase of his health, i mean he's never been absolutly healthy while he has played in the NHL, A career of injuries some might say, but if he had a healthy career and still retired this week, I'd feel a little upset and feel he did it becuase he didn't want to play anymore, turning down a chance at Canadian Gold in Feburary was one thing and now this, i guess it's a personal choice but whats your opinion.

Rant is over now :)
