I was thinking, many people say they take things for granted.

I really don't think so. I mean, take trees, without them, we would have no air, but I highly doubt anyone takes them for granted.

Do you take things for granted?

(Sorry about the lack of quality in this thread, I'm really tired right now)

Though we are so lucky for the roof over our head, clothing, nessesity's etc... The media basically makes us feel like ****, like we need good looks just to fit in, and if we dont look good we are just trash. You guys might say personality matters, but we all know society judges us by how we look.

i think that most of the population takes things for granted apart from the people in the third world. they know to cherish what they have and get, cos we live in the richer world's, we don't.

we usually don't realize the good things with us until it comes back and smacks us in the face or when its too late

I take my health and relative lack of excruciating pain for granted. I probably take my family and friends for granted as well. I'd better work on this.

Yep. And then your girlfriend goes and dumps you. Very true, recent story.

I must agree, though I'm not too intelligent myself sometimes. I am more intelligent on another level.. Not at school, but If I need to do something for myself, I know how to solve it and im quick to think of the right thing to do.

Of course we *throws away food* do, I mean *wastes water* we all waste so much *cuts down trees* instead of using it for *burns grass* better causes. We could give food & water to the poor, we could use the trees for more paper, and... Well, there are enough trees.

I actually hate today's society, we do waste alot and take things for granted, I myself am considered "overweight", sure I look big but I'm actually not because I'm tall and it's mostly muscle, of course the pressure is still on for people who call you names, but back to the topic yes we do take a lot of things for granted in today's society (in America atleast) I'm sure in Africa they're grateful for clean water sometimes.
