First you need to know how to make gradients. There are a plenty of Gradient Tutorials located here. Here are two below.

Those two are for a graphics program named Adobe Photoshop, which you need to create gradients. If you don't have Photoshop use the tutorial below which is made in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Paint.

Afterwards, insert the gradients to the CSS.

Hope this helps. :)

Glad to see you like the skin I made you :P

Some of those tutorials are a little complex though for a beginner, maybe just stick with just using the basic gradient tool. Its just a light>dark<light style, gives the impression of three dimensions.

Also replace your rows with this.

Quote:

.row1 { background-color: #4F6483; border-top: 1px solid #657DA3; border-right: 1px solid #657DA3}
.row2 { background-color: #4F6483; border-top: 1px solid #657DA3; border-right: 1px solid #657DA3; }
.row3 { background-color: #4F6483;}
.row4 { background-color: #4F6483; border-top: 1px solid #657DA3; border-right: 1px solid #657DA3; }

Make sure the all the borders are the same color as the background color but a bit lighter than the background color.

It's a top and left border actually :P

I don't think they were asking for that, in the skin they used as an example Wisp didn't use that technique.
