Yeah it does matter and you might find yours in a little to high, if it is a mod will remove it or warn you about it. I think theres a pinned post on one of the forums sumplace here that tells u what size u need.

I think the sig (unless changed) is not too big at the moment. I'm not sure what the limit is, but I have no image in my sig :P

500x500 is rediculously large.
It's a sig, not a webpage or a wallpaper. :rolleyes:

Sig = signature

Some of us wanted 550x100, which is still considerably more than enough.
Ideally, it should be more like 468x60 or 368x72, which are standard banner and navbar sizes.

I wouldn't join a forum that allowed 500x500 sigs. :r

Staff are immune. :P
Anyway, anything under 10px or so isn't a big deal, and text that goes out the right side of the box isn't either, as it will wrap around when necessary.

I'm more concerned about the vertical than the horizontal, because it means just that much more scrolling for me, but for people at lower screen resolutions, the horizontal is as important.

If your sig is just barely outside the box, you'll probably be ok.
If it's a line of large text or two of regular text or the equivalent outside the box, you'll probably be pm'd to modify it.
If it's more than that, your image tags will probably be removed, unless it's way over or you're a chronic offender, in which case, your whole sig will probably be removed.
