I'm participating in a graphics tournamant elsewhere and I'd like to get some feedback for this "banner" (that's what they want, but it has to be 400x80..). It's not great, and it needs a lot of improvement. I'm just learning. So with your feedback, if you could possibly not just tell me what's wrong but how to fix it, I'd appreciate it.

Here it is. And the subject isn't optional either, though the rendered image could be changed..

I would suggest that u try to blend the render into the background a bit...
putt a new layer on top of the render > use filter > render > clouds
then goto the options of the layer and set it to overlay or somethin else (just try some of them)
then adjust ur levels

hope this helps a bit

overall a nice banner ... good job ;)

Sorry, but I don't like it. I think it's too smooth.

I like the colour scheme here a little however there is a load to be worked on.

The background seems quite pixelly and blurred, I suggest that you lower the opacity on the pixel stretch, while the render is poorly cut and poorly blended.

The text is hard to see and IMO its colour should be changed and it should be put at the bottom of the sig.

The reason for the pixellation is the fact that you saved it as a .gif file, which has a limited amount of colours to use. I suggest you either save it as a .jpg (high quality) or a .png.

Keep trying! ^_^

I'll agree with the render, it does suck. I'm hoping it won't be as bad once I actually blend it :P

As for the pixelation, I don't see any of it. This looks, for me, the same as it does in Photoshop. Do you have our moniter set to a high resolution?

Anyone else? I'm going to revise it soon, and I don't want to have to edit it too many times.

Yea, don't tell the artist what to do, I'm pretty sure thats their own choice, and I'm getting pretty sick of your attitude. No more puts downs cuase it isn't helping

Okay, I've revised it. New text & placement, new render, less lignes, slightly darker image (clouds :)).

Is this better than the first? What else could be improved?

Still, saying add more abstract brushis overlayed with grunge brushes is more of an order, not really a general guideline of what to do.
