I thought I'd try to make a vector,by the way i know their the same colour i was only going for a one colour diffrent tone vectors

They're okay, for a first try, not very creative though. Also, the first one is very choppy and I don't really like the 3D look. I prefer flat vector shapes.

The second one has good composition, the text is kind of blah though..the shadow effect doesn't really fit with the simple stlye of the rest of the piece. Keep trying and try some stuff with out pre-shapes ;)

I don't know what you did exactly, but the edges are very crackily. I think you used a brush in there also lol.

well, I agree about the second one. I've seen those brushes before. The top one either looks like it was 'magic-wanded' out of another image (in which case I wouldn't be suprised, considering the origin of the second piece), or it was a terribly saved .GIF file. In any case, it's not a vector in the first place. Vectors don't have shading (inner shadow[layer style]), this piece does.
Oh well. Hope you find your nack soon.
