When I read the LotR books, I spaced out a lot. Those books are over detailed. He describes every leaf on the tree, pretty much. I like the Narnia books but the HP ones were the best.

Harry Potter. I struggled to get into the Lord of the Rings, however I did enjoy Narnia. But potter gets my vote.

LOTR because it was actually a great movie...all 3 of them...

It is more of an aquired taste. If you do not like fantasy then you won't like it, while HP is different...

Narnia I wasn't to keen on...although the woman who did a lot of the makeup for the characters if from my area...

I liked the LotR movies, but they didn't explain too much. Reading the books would have really helped one understand the movie better.

Funny thing is, Harry Potter is magic so some Lutheran Christians don't allow their children to watch, read, or hear Harry Potter related things. But they let them watch the Lord of the Rings and it has magic in it too. Just not as much. Gandalf for example.
