Narnia was crap compared to the books and the series from about 20 years ago.

The acting in Harry Potter can be rather dire, and there are some characters in the films who I can't stand. They've also ruined the books, and poisoned JK's mind, since she made an error in HBP because of the movies. Tut.

Lord of the Rings was mind blowing, compared to the book :) I'd have to say Lord of the rings.

Edit:

Wait, the books?

Ah.

His Dark Materials > Harry Potter > Narnia > Lord of the Rings

Book wise :)

Although I'm eager to see HDM in the cinema too. I recommended any fans of HP, Narnia or LOTR to read them :D

Well I have never seen Narnia. But its a tought choice between Harry Potter and LOTR but I would have to go with Harry Potter.

I havent seen the new HP but I think LOTR gets boring in parts, I think the fight scenes in it are great but in parts I nearly fell asleep.

On the other hand I think HP always has you on the edge of your seat and if you havent read the books you never know what will happen.

The Lord of the Rings owns them. The others just seem aimed at a younger age level to me.

Are you kidding me? Joe made Harry Potter intentionally for Adults. It just so happens that kids read it too. Loads of adults read HP. So, that's not true. :(

Lord of the Rings is not for children either-too complicated.
Narnia is pretty simple to read.

Definity Harry Potter. I'm a pretty good reader and it took me awhile to get my head around LOTR. Narnia, I haven't gotten around to ready yet, I'll have to do that some time.

You should. They are slightly based off the bible because the author is very religous, but a lot of people don't even reckonize that it is slightly based from the bible. But like I said, you should read it. The books are amazing.

Books: Harry Potter / None
Movies: Lord Of The Rings / None

1 x Harry Potter
1 x Lord Of The Rings
2 x None

None = Winner! :arr:
