So just no meat for you?

What about milk, or fish???

Not eating milk eggs or other dairy, or using any products that come from animals is called being "vegan".
I think thats it, there might be more to it, i'd ask my sister but she's away at college. (shes vegan)

My sister and her husband are Vegans, which are extremely hardcore vegetarians and they have been for about 12 years. They became vegans at first to not eat animals, but now do it as its healthy.

If you are doing it for the animals, then you should not be a hypocrite. You shouldnt eat any meat at all, including fish, chicken, beef. You shouldnt eat cheese or eggs, or drink milk. You should look in the ingredients of everything, and learn animal biproducts. You should not wear leather or wool. You should know companies that have a history of mistreating animals, and not buy anything from them.

If you are doing it for health, then you should only eat organic foods. My sister doesnt even eat veggies at the usual food market, as it has chemicals or whatever. She doesnt eat any fruits at all as they are somewhat unhealthy.

So, i am not against vegetarians, but i cant stand them when they are only minor vegetarians, as it doesnt make sense. It should be all or nothing.

I have decided to become a vegetarian. :o ^_^

For those of you who are vegetarian/know vegetarians, do you have any suggestions for food items that are simple? For example, something easy to make, like a wrap, etc. :)

Respect. I could never EVER do that, I might as well not eat. My main suggestion would be pasta, greatest non-meat food ever.

I am what they call a lacto-ovo vegetarian.

A lacto-ovo vegetarian is a person who is a vegetarian, but does consume the animal products of eggs (ovo) and milk (lacto).

A lacto-ovo vegetarian (also known as ovo-lacto vegetarian, but sometimes incorrectly referred to as octo-lacto vegetarian, as "octo" means eight) is a vegetarian who is willing to consume dairy products (i.e. milk and its derivatives, like cheese, butter, or yogurt) and eggs. Lacto means "milk" and ovo means "egg".

Just some of the definitions. ;)

Roasted vegetables are just the best this time of year. Sweet potato, red onion, mushrooms, peppers, mangetout - yum. :D

but, you do realise those animals are treated just as bad? So, I dont understand why you eat dairy products. There are many healthy alternatives to milk and other dairy products. So, why do you not eat meat, but you do consume dairy products?

My aunt has been a vegetarian for a very long time.

Here are some thing she eats;

  • tofu
  • pasta with tomato sauce, no meat included
  • salads
  • vegetables & dip
  • vegetarian pizza
  • subs
  • soups with light broth & lots of veggies
  • lots of dairy
  • light snack foods such as pretzels and crackers
  • spreads and dips for snack food
  • a little wrap with lettuce, cheeses, tomatoes, etc

Stuff like that. I'm sure you can Google vegetarian recipes to find some that you are looking for.

:D

Personally in my opinion, I don't get vegetarians in some ways. Nothing against you, it's your own opinion. I tried once before.

Just like animals like cows and pigs, etc, fish are also killed, and other animals to get food we want. We get milk from cows and we don't stop drinking that. I'm just saying that's the part that confuses me :ermm:

You're an idiot. You may be guilted into becoming vegetarian, because you think its cruel,  however you must realise that animals eat other animals all the time to survive, and you need meat to stay physically and mentally strong. Its the circle of life.

maybe ur an idiot by not respecting other people's opinion

I respect peoples opinions. I just do not respect this. And even if I didnt, how does that mean I have a lower intellegence?

One of the problems with alot of people these days is that they have the mindset of "everybody has thier own opinions and everyone if allowed to have thier own opinions" but that doesnt mean that opinions arent stupid and alot of you forget that.
