I am what they call a lacto-ovo vegetarian.

but, you do realise those animals are treated just as bad? So, I dont understand why you eat dairy products. There are many healthy alternatives to milk and other dairy products. So, why do you not eat meat, but you do consume dairy products?

They are at different levels. It is my choice what I want to do. I know quite a few vegetarians who consume dairy still. I feel I am doing a good thing by going vegetarian, and you are trying to pick it apart. I never said I was going vegetarian just because of animal cruelty, I have other reasons. I understand where you would be coming from if I was doing it just because of that, but I'm not. If it was wrong for vegetarians to consume dairy, then their wouldn't be lacto and lacto-ovo vegetarians. I didn't feel it was right to go straight from eating meat daily to not eating meat or consuming daily products. It probably wouldn't be too healthy. So for now, I am still consuming dairy. ;)

If we aren't supposed to eat animals, then why are they made out of meat?

If we aren't supposed to eat humans, why are they made out of meat?

If we didn't have a sound governemnt or were found upon the stereotype that we are civilized and animals aren't, we probably would be eating each other, for survival. There's also the fact that we probably don't taste very good.

Just like animals like cows and pigs, etc, fish are also killed, and other animals to get food we want. We get milk from cows and we don't stop drinking that. I'm just saying that's the part that confuses me :ermm:
As I stated previously, there are different levels of vegetarian. Some vegetarians still eat eggs and dairy. Killing a cow and milking a cow are on quite different levels.

I respect peoples opinions. I just do not respect this. And even if I didnt, how does that mean I have a lower intellegence?

One of the problems with alot of people these days is that they have the mindset of "everybody has thier own opinions and everyone if allowed to have thier own opinions" but that doesnt mean that opinions arent stupid and alot of you forget that.
I fail to see your point. How is my decision to not eat meat a 'stupid opinion'? Yes, everyone can have their own opinion. But I do not see where you are coming from. Just because I do not want to eat meat, that doesn't make me wrong or a bad person.

Oh no, I never said we weren't supposed to eat me. It is an individuals choice of whether or not they decide to eat it.

Also, I'd prefer this topic not become a debate over the matter of becoming (or not becoming) a vegetarian, as that would be a ways off the original subject, which was only asking for vegetarian-to-vegetarian suggestions on the matter of choosing vegetarian foods, not your thoughts on whether being vegetarian is right or wrong. If you'd like a place to discuss such business, go make a new topic. Don't use this one, please.

Are you all ignoring Dave's post?

Anything else than suggesting vegetarian foods would be off-topic. If you want to discuss something else, create a new topic. ;)
