Not at all, though I do find it ridiculous that people who aren't of any christian faith celebrate christmas with a tree and what not. Might as well name it exchange gift day if you don't celebrate it for the way it was meant.

The Christmas Tree is the remnant of a pagan festival created a long time ago. The only thing "Chrstian" about Christmas is basically the name and the idea behind it. And what is the way to celebrate it 'properly'? Christmas is about giving thanks to Christ and celebrating the day he was born. Are you saying you have to eat turkey and have to exchange gifts?

It's become more of a hallmark holiday than anything else.

Dude, all of the really known holidays are that. Easter? Dude, the day I have to point eggs, or buy crappy chocolate crap for little kids will be the day I die. Same with Halloween, why do I even need to buy candy? Or even thanksgivin. What are we giving thanks for anyways? To getting fatter every year because of buying all this useless food?

Exactly. So then I think it's pretty...useless to make comments like this:

The way to celebrate ANY holidays is by just doing nothing, and not buying anything. Serisouly, or at least do what you think it's best. Because in my opinion, if I were to celebrate the holidays I think should be celebrated, and eliminate the ones I don't, it would be these:

Christmass.
Easter.

That's it. And maybe not even easter.

I honestly could care less about Christmas; it's become a materialistic and greedy day, so much that I wouldn't even call it "Christmas" anymore because it doesn't follow many of the monotheistic religious principals against greed. This year, I'm not going to be setting up a tree or waiting for "Santa" to come and deliver presents. I will give gifts, of course, but I will not celebrate Christmas.

Anybody in the UK who are offended by the religous (if any) background of Christmas should leave. The UK is predominantly Christian and it would be completely stupid to change that culture to adjust to cultures of those who are offended.

The political correctness police of Britain are absolutely pathetic, why should we care that Christmas offends asylum seekers and immigrants? If anyone tried to stop them celebrating their holidays, that person would be arrested and branded a racist, yet the Political correctness police have no problem stopping people celebrating Christmas in a Christian country. I find it pedantic, really.

I like Christmas. I don't really think of it in Christianity's terms. To me its just a good time to be really close with my family.

Again, what I find funny is that no one actually sees why people are so "anti-sh" towards Christmas. I posted it, and I'll post it again in hopes that people will actually see it... Many "immigrants" and none-christiansfind Christmas offensive because they see so much Christianity everywhere, and the word Jesus, and so much advertising for Christmas, that it gets on their nerves. Again, I am not like this, and I actually like the spirit of the holiday, as it brings people together, and makes those angry, greedy people in Kmart stop being so "angry and greedy." ^_^

:ermm:

I am Catholic. I celebrate Christmas for the real reasons, and I see it as the best time of year. Everyone is always in a good mood and has a smile on their face. It's a good time to be with family, and something to do in the winter. I love the lights, decorations, carols, nativity scenes, trees, and the gifts are just a perk of it all. I loved when I was little and read books about Jesus, and just all kinds of cute Christmas ones.

I'll always love Christmas ^_^

"I really couldn't care less"

People who pick that are basically saying it dose not offend them...

It dose not offend me, And I don't think that Jesus was ever here.

I am not Jewish, I used to be Christian though, although I stopped be leaving the nonsence just about a year ago.

Sorry, guys. I don't mean to offend anyone.
