I kinda like the non-black part, even though it doesn't have a focal point

it needs some more depth too, even though there is a slight depth with the brushing :P

Alright, you some some good techniques but you just need to use them better. This piece seems rather random to me, there is no main focus to it and the text seems to be randomly placed. Some softer airbrushing in the background is a good way to help out the composition because it makes depth, and you always want to make sure your piece has a good amount of variation so the viewers eye leads somewhere. This can be done with several techniques all put into a composition, some color variation in the different techniques to they compliment each other, stuff like that. Keep at it, and study really good digital artists and ask yourself what makes their art good, you'll understand eventually :D
